The initiative seeks to provide actionable insights for policymakers and citizens to strengthen the country\u2019s primary healthcare system and ensure equitable access to essential health services.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Expanding the Scope of PHC Data Collection<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>According to a statement issued by <strong>Orodata Science<\/strong> on Monday and signed by its Programme Officer, <strong>Uche Oti<\/strong>, the second phase follows the success of the initial data collection efforts conducted in six states: <strong>Anambra, Benue, Cross River, Osun, Sokoto,<\/strong> and <strong>Taraba<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe expanded project will now cover over 1,000 additional healthcare centres across 10 new states, bringing the total number of surveyed PHCs to more than 1,500,\u201d Mr. Oti stated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This next phase will evaluate the <strong>availability and quality of healthcare services<\/strong>, assess the <strong>condition of facilities<\/strong>, identify <strong>resource constraints<\/strong>, and uncover <strong>gaps in service delivery<\/strong>. The findings will support the development of comprehensive reports and advocacy efforts aimed at improving healthcare outcomes nationwide.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>New States for Data Collection<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The expanded initiative will focus on PHCs in the following states: <strong>Ogun, Edo, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kwara, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Abia, Kano, Kaduna,<\/strong> and <strong>Gombe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Empowering Nigerians Through Data<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A key feature of this initiative is the launch of <strong>CheckMyPHC.org<\/strong>, a digital platform providing Nigerians with real-time data on the status of PHCs in their communities.
