This appointment marks a significant milestone in ABCHealth\u2019s efforts to strengthen health systems across the continent. The announcement was made in a statement by ABCHealth on Sunday, which highlighted the transition of leadership from the Global Business Coalition for Health (GBCHealth) in New York.<\/p>\n<p>CAMA\u2019s mission focuses on mobilizing the private sector to foster partnerships that combat malaria in workplaces and communities. The coalition creates platforms for private sector engagement with governments, NGOs, academia, and other key stakeholders to drive initiatives for malaria control and elimination across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>In its new role as CAMA\u2019s secretariat, ABCHealth plans to build on the achievements of the past 17 years. The organization aims to scale up the fight against malaria by providing its members with increased value, relevance, and impact. According to ABCHealth, this transition is a crucial step in GBCHealth\u2019s vision to create an African-led initiative in healthcare partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>The transition of CAMA&#8217;s leadership to ABCHealth reflects the coalition\u2019s commitment to fostering partnerships and mobilizing resources from the private sector to improve healthcare outcomes in Africa. ABCHealth has a long-standing history of working with Africa\u2019s private sector leaders and global organizations to promote health and well-being on the continent. Leading CAMA and its member organizations toward the ultimate goal of controlling and eliminating malaria is a responsibility that ABCHealth is proud to take on.<\/p>\n<p>Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, founder of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation and Chairman of ABCHealth, emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in addressing Africa\u2019s healthcare challenges. He noted that the transition of CAMA to ABCHealth presents an opportunity for enhanced collaboration between public and private sectors to achieve better health outcomes across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Zouera Youssoufou, CEO of the Aliko Dangote Foundation and ABCHealth Board Director, shared that Aliko Dangote, co-founder of ABCHealth, is eager to see CAMA\u2019s impact scaled up across the continent. ABCHealth\u2019s CEO, Mories Atoki, affirmed the coalition\u2019s commitment to elevating CAMA\u2019s influence and working closely with its members to create long-lasting change.<\/p>\n<p>Lesley-Anne Long, former President and CEO of GBCHealth, expressed her delight in the transition, acknowledging that CAMA has been one of GBCHealth\u2019s flagship programs for over 15 years.
