Health insurance provider, SUNU Health, has entered into a partnership with Mobihealth, a leading telemedicine company, to offer virtual healthcare services to health insurance beneficiaries across Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Dr. Patrick Korie, Managing Director of SUNU Health, revealed this collaboration in a statement released on Wednesday in Lagos.<\/p>\n
Dr. Korie emphasized that SUNU Health has been providing health insurance products for more than two decades in Nigeria and various African nations.<\/p>\n
He explained that this strategic partnership aims to make high-quality healthcare more accessible, timely, and cost-effective for those in need.<\/p>\n
Dr. Korie highlighted the growing significance of telemedicine and digital health tools in healthcare delivery, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

The partnership with Mobihealth International, a renowned multi-award-winning company with a strong local and global reputation for excellence, will enable SUNU Health’s beneficiaries to access doctors in Nigeria and internationally via their smartphones, homes, or workplaces, 24\/7.<\/p>\n
In addition to virtual consultations, beneficiaries will have access to prescription medications, diagnostic services, and referrals for in-person care when necessary.<\/p>\n
For individuals without smartphones or digital skills, walk-in telehealth clinics will be available, where attendants can assist with registration and connect them with doctors through computer terminals.<\/p>\n
Dr. Korie highlighted that these innovative solutions can significantly increase access to healthcare by more than 90%, leading to improved healthcare outcomes and a reduction in hospitalizations.<\/p>\n
