Africa: Mobihealth Partners with Medical Associations to Enhance Healthcare Access in Africa

Mobihealth International, a leading telehealth provider, has joined forces with the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN) and the Medical Association of Nigerians Across Great Britain (MANSAG) to bring quality healthcare services to underserved communities in Africa. This partnership aims to bridge the healthcare gap in both rural and urban areas through cutting-edge telehealth solutions.

According to Mobihealth, this collaboration will leverage technology to transform healthcare delivery and increase access to doctors and specialists for communities with limited resources. Through the partnership, the organizations will deliver teleconsultations, launch healthcare training programs, and conduct health awareness campaigns to improve medical services.

Mobihealth’s Founder and CEO, Dr. Funmi Adewara, emphasized the shared commitment to improving healthcare across Nigeria and Africa: “We are excited to collaborate with MWAN and MANSAG, two highly respected organizations dedicated to healthcare improvement. By combining Mobihealth’s telehealth platform with MWAN and MANSAG expertise, we can ensure world-class medical services reach patients who need them most.”

The partnership includes MWAN members providing teleconsultations, while MANSAG professionals contribute specialized medical support from the diaspora, mentoring healthcare providers on the ground.

MWAN National President, Prof. Rosemary Ogu, expressed her support for the initiative, saying, “We are proud to partner with Mobihealth and MANSAG to advance healthcare delivery in Africa. This collaboration aligns with MWAN’s mission to enhance health outcomes, especially for women and children in Nigeria, and will positively impact communities across Africa.”

Dr. Chris Agbo, President of MANSAG, highlighted the potential of the collaboration to empower local healthcare workers: “MANSAG is dedicated to supporting healthcare systems in Nigeria and Africa. Through this partnership, we aim to leverage our diaspora expertise to empower local health workers in providing essential care. Together, we can drive significant improvements in healthcare delivery.”

The partnership will further support Mobihealth’s mission to provide affordable, accessible healthcare to vulnerable populations via its telehealth platform, reinforcing its commitment to transforming healthcare access in Africa.
