RegTech Africa Announces Top 15 Startups for the 2026 Startup World Cup Abuja Regional Challenge

ABUJA, NIGERIA — April 2026

RegTech Africa and the Startup World Cup (a global initiative by Pegasus Tech Ventures, Silicon Valley) have announced the 15 startups selected to compete at the 2026 Startup World Cup Abuja Regional Challenge — one of the most coveted startup pitching opportunities in Africa — to be held at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, on 21st May 2026.

The announcement comes ahead of the flagship 2026 RegTech Africa Conference & Expo (RACE 2026), held under the distinguished Patronage of the Office of the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, in collaboration with PreCEFI and GIABA, themed: “Building Trust, Infrastructure, Inclusion, and Policy for a Borderless Economy.”

Hundreds of startup applications were received across Nigeria and the broader African continent. Each was evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges — entrepreneurs, investors, and enterprise strategists — using the global Startup World Cup judging framework: Innovation and Impact, Market Potential and Scalability, Business Model and Revenue Traction, Competitive Advantage, Pitch Quality, and Stage Maturity.
