Deutsche Bank has officially launched Instant Cash Reporting (ICR), a new API-powered solution that provides corporate clients with real-time access to account and balance data through the Swift network. The move marks a significant step in the bank’s broader push to enhance API-driven services for treasury management.
Iberdrola, a Spain-based energy multinational, is the first corporate client to integrate ICR into its treasury operations.
ICR enables corporates to retrieve on-demand financial data from Deutsche Bank using a single connection point via Swift, leveraging the ISO 20022 data standard and delivering results in secure JSON format. Swift acts as the central hub, routing API requests to Deutsche Bank, which responds with standardised, account-specific data tailored to the corporate’s preferences and Swift BIC identifiers.
Johnny Grimes, Head of Corporate Cash Product at Deutsche Bank, stated:
“ICR addresses the growing demand from corporates for multi-bank connectivity and consistent API standards that ease integration and improve operational efficiency.”
Currently available to Swift-connected corporates and financial institutions, the ICR service is designed to scale. Deutsche Bank is actively encouraging other banks and corporates to join the initiative, aiming to accelerate the adoption of multi-bank API solutions across the financial ecosystem.
